I flew from San Diego (where I was visiting for Thanksgiving) to New York to persuade investors to stick with us.  I We had agreed to sell the company to Salesforce.com and between the offer in December 2006 and the closing March 27th, 2007 I focused exclusively on the sale to Salesforce.com.  I Except that after the acquisition Salesforce.com required that I commute more than an hour each way from Palo Alto to San Francisco.  The TechCrunch ran my article yesterday as a guest post but I wanted to have a copy here for anybody who missed it and for future readers of this blog.  This

San Diego-based InnerCool , a wholly owned subsidiary of Cardium Therapeutics, has been acquired by Royal Philips, Philips said Wednesday. San Diego-based Qualcommm said today that it has named its join venture with Verizon Wireless, as nPhase . Qualcomm acquired the name nPhase back in 2006, when it bought the Chicago-based company of the same name. Qualcomm had said at the end of July that it was entering into a joint venture with Verizon Wireless focused on wireless communications for smart devices, with the new venture to be headed by Steve Pazol. Verizon and Qualcomm said at the time they would be joint owners in the new venture, but said they had not yet named the venture.
