Then, I Review existing materials Business Plan Marketing Plan Marketing Materials Product Plan / Roadmap Current and Projected Financials Business Pipeline Team Member Bios / Resumes Current Metrics Roadmap Normally there are crude documents for each of these areas that can be quickly read / scanned. I generally am working as an acting CTO for about 3-4 start-ups or other companies at any one time. I was just talking with someone who asked me to define how that could work and what they meant.

The goal of marketers is usually to increase revenue, so we create metrics that help us do that.
Metrics are those numbers that "per" -- like "cost per lead" and "page views per day."
Marketing Metrics Are Everywhere
There There are metrics everywhere in We strive for increasing our clickthrough rate on e-mails, newsletters, banner ads, paid search ads, and wherever we can measure clicks.
We look for ways to increase the "open rate" for everything from e-mails and envelopes to prospects' minds.

First, let me recommend reading a previous blog, called omg I’m just a startup, I can’t do those fancy metrics . Once you create a small list of these queries, then you can start to formalize the ideas into specific metrics that you track daily.

Many people think that marketing is marketing -- that there is one approach to marketing for whichever industry or sector you sell into.
They make the mistake of thinking that the consumer marketing done by large companies like P&G or Coke will work for entrepreneurial consumer companies.

The point of the other article is not whether we should consider one thing or another SPAM based on frequency or other metrics, but instead that we should pay attention to how our perceptions of the source color our assessment.
To a previous post , MaxS commented that my reaction to SPAM was different than his and particularly to that of teenagers and young adults (Millennials).
SPAM is in the eye of the beholder.

Santa Monica-based Business.com , which provides online directories for B2B purchasing, announced today that the firm has launched a new tool to help advertisers access pay-per-click metrics on the site. Business.com claims that the metrics in the tool are unavailable through other web analytics programs, and specifically addresses limitations in such products like Google's Urchin analytics tools. According to the firm, the new Business.com Conversion Tracking tool has been in beta since March, and is now available to all of its advertisers. Business.com is now owned by R.H.
