Local parking in Hollywood is always expensive; I paid $8 - the Cinespace valet is at the west corner of the block on Hollywood. Los Angeles-based RealD , which manufactures 3D cinema equipment, has signed on another theater chain, Hollywood Theaters. Hollywood Theaters is a chain based in Portland, Oregon, with 529 screens in 20 states. Santa Monica-based Geodelic , the latest startup of The Platform founder Rahul Sonnad, said today that it has partnered up with Universal Studios Hollywood on a mobile application focused on Universal's "Halloween Horror Nights" event. The firm is headed by Sharon Waxman, former Hollywood correspondent for the New York Times. When my friend Wil Schroter builds web sites, he's more concerned with attracting revenue than eyeballs.
