This morning, ReachLocal filed for an IPO , in what has been a long-anticipated move for the firm. ReachLocal started releasing financial information as a private company earlier this year, saying in August it hit $147M in revenues; and has been rumored among local tech execs to be prepping for an IPO for much of this year. There’s a lot of folks gambling on the IPO market this week, with a bunch of IPO news — both from local VCs as well as one local company.

Accoriding to ReachLocal, it had net income of $11.6M ReachLocal is backed by such firms as VantagePoint Venture Partners, Rho Ventures, and Galleon Group. Woodland Hills-based ReachLocal has launched a new, online marketplace for local advertising, saying Monday that it has created a new "ReachLocal Xchange" platform which will allow websites to tap into local advertisers. According to ReachLocal, the new technology platform is targeted at both major and "long tail" Internet publishers, who want to tap into local online ads. Woodland Hills-based ReachLocal , which operates a service to help small and medium sized businesses place online advertising, said this morning that it is adding a online display advertising product to its mix. ReachLocal helps local businesses--who otherwise would not have the knowledge or time--to place ads on online ad programs such as Google's AdWords and Yahoo. The firm said its new offering, ReachDisplay, will help local advertisers place online visual display ads on multiple web sites. Woodland Hills-based ReachLocal , which operates an online marketing service targeted at local businesses, is announcing today that it has purchase the remaining interest in the firm's Australian joint venture partner, Netus Pty Ltd. ReachLocal said it now owns all of its international operations, which include Canada, the UK, and Australia. No financial details of the acquisition were disclosed. Australia was ReachLocal's first international market, which it entered in December of 2006.

Woodland Hills-based ReachLocal , a provider of local search advertising services, has topped Deloitte's 2009 Technology Fast 500 list, an annual listing of companies ranked by their five year growth rates. According to the list, ReachLocal topped the list with a five-year, fiscal growth rate of 146,050 percent. Woodland Hills-based ReachLocal , which helps small businesses buy search engine advertising, has inked a strategic alliance with Google in the United Kingdom, the firm announced today.
