He was struggling to find high quality developers in Los Angeles. Just the kind of person I like to meet. :) But I was a bit surprised when he emphasized how hard it had been for them to find a web developer in Los Angeles. My flippant comment was, “If you do a Google search for Los Angeles web developer, you’ll find a LOT of people and firms.” His response was that he had done exactly that, but that the long list is not all that useful. My time in New York was a good nine lives ago, but my adventures in both Los Angeles and San Francisco are fresh and ripe for dissecting. When to get a lawyer - If you plan to be a venture or angel backed technology company (what I mostly write about) the best time to start meeting and getting to know lawyers is long before you ever start your company.  They get together with a few buddies, bounce around ideas, build some code (sometimes internally, sometimes through contractors), start talking to potential angel investors and then register their company.  I recently read a post over on VentureHacks titled, “ Top Ten Reasons Entrepreneurs Hate Lawyers ” written by Scott Walker (who blogs on legal issues for entrepreneurs ). 

According to data pulled from Twitter Grader , HubSpot is reporting that Los Angeles is in fact the top twittering city, meaning we have the highest amount of users. Considering how many of you love to talk about and promote yourselves this shouldn’t be too surprising. It is however nice to know that we beat San Francisco in something, even it if it mindless chattering.

What is it: Living in Los Angeles you see these search lights a lot. Apple press events are to say the least, legendary. The ultimate culmination of black turtlenecks, geeks and gadget lust. The iPods, the iPhones, the classic line “One more thing”, it’s all so magical.
