The last direct flight from Santa Barbara to Silicon Valley, on a route run by SkyWest Airlines, is being discontinued, according to reports. SkyWest Airlines has informed Santa Barbara Airport officials that it plans to discontinue direct flights to San Jose in June, due to lack of demand. The news was first reported by local Santa Barbara publication the Daily Sound. The Santa Barbara to San Jose flights were popular among the many high tech companies located in the Santa Barbara area. SkyWest also runs a nonstop

Santa Barbara-based Make It Work , the home computer installation, repair, and assistance firm run by Eric David Greenspan, is expanding into the San Francisco Bay Area with a new radio show. The company--which already broadcasts "Tech News, powered by Make It Work" on Saturdays on KNX 1070 in Los Angeles, said the show is an entirely new show, and is in addition to its show running on KNX. The firm is launching a new show on KSFO 560 San Francisco (Citadel/ABC Radio), running on Saturdays at 3pm, with the first show tomorrow. Make It Work's shows feature Jeremy Anticouni,

Yesterday, Make It Work got together at our partner South Bay Mini’s offices to discuss our achievements, our challenges and our future…we called it “Launch to the Moon, 2010.” We ate great food, we chatted, we listened to Jeremy Anticouni’s 38th broadcast of CBS/KNX Tech News (powered by Make It Work) and I presented to the team. The seven minute 8221; There were 50+ Minis parked in a row , that was cool! It was an amazing day.

Yesterday, I met with @LisaBraithwaite, a local Santa Barbaran. responded to his tweet, we chatted on the phone and he asked me to co-host the event on Dec 14th, 2010. Finally, we started talking about the event on our radio show, Tech News, powered by Make It Work who is a co-sponsor now. As a result, Lewis will be our guest along with I’ve been engaged with social networking for some time now, starting with Myspace and Facebook and just recently (within the last 30 days), Twitter. I’ve jumped on the bandwagon, big time!
