Funk According to Redpoint's Martin, 2010 might be a strong year for exits, with a number of venture capital-backed, Southern California firms currently filed for initial public offerings. A new study of the financial outcomes for Southern California venture-backed companies in the IT sector finds that approximately $48 billion in value has been created by those companies over the period 1995-2009.

Santa Barbara-based Impact Radius , a developer of multi-channel, performance advertising technology, announced today that it has raised $6M in a venture funding round. The round was led by Redpoint Ventures . The firm said the funding went to development and private beta testing of its service, which is being applied to track and manage performance-based advertising across online, TV, radio, and print. Irvine-based WebVisible said today that it has hired on a new Vice President of Sales, Bill Lupo, as the firm's industry, online advertising, continues to thrive. The firm, which provides local online advertising services for businesses, said that Lupo joins the firm from Yodle. WebVisible works with Yellow Pages and other publishers to help their small business clients to place search engine advertising and other Lupo has also served at AltaVista/Shopping.com. The firm is venture backed by Redpoint Ventures and Sutter Hill Ventures.

According to Webvisible, PC Mall will offer its web advertising programs through its online destination site for business services, MyBusinessMVP. WebVisible helps businesses market their products online, and is venture backed by Sutter Hill Ventures and Redpoint Ventures. Irvine-based WebVisible , which provides online marketing for local businesses, said Tuesday that the firm has partnered with catalog retailer PC Mall. Financial details of the partnership were not disclosed.
