My friend Mark Long recently asked me about networking in Los Angeles. This past couple years, I have been doing a ton of networking. Los Angeles-based social networking site is looking to court developers with the launch of a development contest, the MySpace Developer Challenge , the firm said recently. Jason Calacanis , the high profile founder of Santa Monica-based Mahalo , is one of the angel investors in a mobile social networking service, Gowalla , the company said today. Los Angeles-based Pringo, which develops white label social networking software for enterprises, said earlier this week that it has launched a beta of its latest version.
