Ortiva is backed by Comcast, Artiman Ventures, Mission Ventures, and Avalon Ventures. La Jolla-based Ortiva Wireless , which develops technology to stream video to mobile devices, reports today that it has hired on a new, Senior Vice President of Worldwide Sales, James D. Edson.

Ortiva's venture backers are Artiman Ventures, Avalon Ventures, Comcast, and Mission Ventures. La Jolla-based Ortiva Wireless , a developer of products for managing mobile video streaming, said this morning that it has signed on Mobix Interactive as a customer. Financial impact of the customer win was not disclosed.

Ortiva is backed by Artiman Ventures, Avalon Ventures, Comcast Interactive Capital, and Mission Ventures. La Jolla-based Ortiva Wireless, a provider of products for managing and optimizing mobile video streams, has snagged Vodafone Portugal as a customer, the firm said today. Ortiva said that Vodafone Portugal will deploy its mobile Video Optimization Gateway product.
