Bill Saleebey is having a book signing and networking event for his new book, Connecting: Beyond the Name Tag , on Thursday March 25 from 6pm into the evening, at the Stone Rose Lounge in the Sofitel Hotel at 8555 Beverly Blvd. Bill will be selling and signing books, or just come and network. So, the book I was referring to is called “Soulcraft,” one word, and it's by a writer named Bill Plotkin. Interview: Yeah, Randy Komisar who was a, I think, a venture capitalist, now out on the west coast, wrote a wonderful book a few years back, the name escapes me. Andrew: But didn’t he mean that…I don’t know why I can’t come up with the name of the book…didn’t he mean that as working a job that you are not passionate about so you can earn enough money to start a business This interview is full of stories of successful entrepreneurs because Jerry Colonna has invested in or worked with some of the best of them.

Last night, Mahalo CTO Mark Jeffrey announced that Harper Collins is going to publish the first book of his Max Quick series, entitled The Pocket and The Pendant .

Jason Calacanis , founder of Mahalo , is a partner in the TechCrunch50 conference, where he helped rehearse most of the 50 startups who presented. Well, he only went on when he was selling a book, a pay-per-view, a set of CD’s, or moving to Sirius radio.

Ultimately, we could have probably built out a database so that you could kind of do it Blue Book style, but I wouldn't want them to build it out until I knew there were enough people out there that wanted to buy that service. Are you at Mahalo’s offices?

Mark helped launch 4 startups, including SuperSig, which was a disaster and Mahalo , a rising star.
Today he’s working on his latest startup as the CTO of Mahalo. Aside from being a better entrepreneur, going through the dotcom bust helped Mark start writing books .

Just try to connect with those people that are booking all these shows, whether it be online now or on TV. Start Interviewee: Yeah, I mean I remember the first - I out of college I was hired as an associate producer for a morning show in Vegas called the Vegas show - on a FOX affiliate, I was the associate producer and I booked the whole show. And I was just finding people that were entertaining that would engage people to watch and I was booking them and flying What I admire about Shira Lazar is that she's too much of a go-getter to wait for the perfect TV gig to come to her.
