When we tune into any stream: Twitter, Facebook, MySpace, etc., Think of the Amazon affiliate program where you’re paid if you help Amazon sell books (I think on average Amazon pays about 7% of sales). This One of the investment themes I’ve been focused on in the past 3 years has been Performance-Based Marketing. The standard to watch is activity strea.ms which has already been adopted by Facebook, MySpace, Windows Live, and Opera and many others with Google and Yahoo! Better social and location capabilities added to the core of mobile devices. Los Angeles-based Goodreads , an online social networking site focused on book readers, said today that it has raised its Series A funding to $2M. Goodreads was founded by Otis Chandler, and counts MySpace COO Mike Jones as an advisor, along with Ooga Labs' James Currier and Stan Chudnovsky, as well as Bebo's Michael Birch. So Goodreads was built to do this, our position is not catalog your books, our position is see what your friends are reading, or get excited about reading through your friends.

I wouldn’t bet against MySpace . I know many of their founders and early employees, and one of the co-founders of Intermix (the parent company of MySpace) is an investor. MySpace has lost the battle as the “place for friends”. The following are my 7 Ways on How to Save MySpace

Los Angeles-based Goodreads , the online social networking site focused on book readers, told its users today that it has launched a new feature similar to Twitter's "follow." The firm said the new feature allows users to see updates of books, what books people are reading, and reviews. Goodreads is backed by angels; its investors include people such as Michael Jones, now COO of MySpace, According to Goodreads, the new feature allows members of the site to follow updates of people they admire, without marking them as friends. can tell you having seen the entire “MySpace Marketing” movement come and go (I even wrote a book on it), this is going to really hurt Twitter.
