Woodland Hills, CA. While it wraps by 8:30ish (they have to be out of the venue by 9pm), the networking continues in the parking lot, and sometimes heads to the Marmalade Cafe at the Calabasas Commons down the street. Mountain View-based Intuit, which said in June that it would be laying off about 4 percent of its staff, disclosed through California WARN notices recently that it is laying off employees in Calabasas, Woodland Hills, San Diego, and Westlake Village as part of an overall, company-wide reduction. According to the notices, 29 of the employees are in San Diego, 14 in Woodland Hills, 9 in Westlake Village, and 1 in Calabasas. Layoffs at personal finance software maker Intuit are set to hit a number of the firm's Southern California locations. The firm had earlier
San Diego-based MedVantx ranked at number 13 on the list; Woodland Hills-based ReachLocal was 39; San Diego-based BridgePoint Education was 50; Santa Monica-based International Checkout ranked at 61; Torrance-based Flipswap at 81; and Irvine-based ClinAssure was at 85. Beyond the first 100 companies, medical imaging firm Dicom Solutions in Irvine was at 109; Agoura Hills-based SEO provider National Positions at 112; Blackline Systems in Calabasas was at number 113, and at number 134, Irvine-based Vizio . A number of Southern California technology firms have nabbed top spots in the annual Inc.
