When I got to college, I did not see myself as a full-time coder, so I majored in biology, which was my favorite subject at the time. (Graduated This is not so much because others are going to try to steal the idea, however, there is simply no upside in broadcasting your strategy to any would-be competitors. So I obsess about ways to iterate and make it better. Visible networking is turning into a really great opportunity to get to know people better, get to meet new people, and have some interesting conversations. The spark for this post is that I'm going to go to Caltech/MIT Enterprise Forum on Saturday. So, I've got no idea who's going. This also happens for Technology Council of Southern California , AITP-LA , TechBizConnection and others. Anderson doesn’t mention Southern California–maybe because we keep beating New England in venture funding, or because his first point–that cities where the weather sucks are good for keeping people at work–doesn’t apply.
