Santa Monica-based ZipRecruiter , a new startup focused on the online job board market, said that it has launched its service this week. The startup, whose founders have served at such firms as CitySearch, Stamps.com, Rent.com, and ThisNext, said it provides a service which allows users to post to multiple, free job boards with one submission. The new company was founded by Ian Siegel (CitySearch, Stamps.com, Rent.com, and Pictage); The site had been running in a closed beta for the last three months. Tags: ziprecruiter posting startu

West Hollywood-based Citysearch , the online local business guide owned by IAC, announced today that it has launched a new online advertising service for local businesses called CityGrid Complete. According to Citysearch, it made an investment in OrangeSoda to build the new service. OrangeSoda is a provider of online search marketing services and search engine optimization. Financial terms of the strategic investment were not disclosed. The new offering will provide SEO services and content advertising services.

The firm said that its new Mobile by Citysearch app allows Android users to search for local business listings and post business reviews from their mobile device. mobileStorm, which provides mobile and email marketing services, said that Pedowitz will be responsible for developmentof the firm's next generation platforms. Pedowitz also has served at Citysearch and Warner Bros. Los Angeles-based mobileStorm has bolstered its engineering resources, saying today that it has named David Pedowitz as the firm's new Director of Engineering and Principal Architect. Pedowitz joins the firm from Fox Interactive Media, where he headed up re-architecture and re-engineering of the MySpace MyAds platform.
