Irvine-based Paragon Software , a developer of data storage and mobile software, said this week that it has release a NTFS driver for the Mac OS X operating system. Paragon said the new software is aimed at making it easier for Mac users to access and share data with Windows computers. Santa Monica-based Image Metrics , a developer of facial animation software and services, has raised $8.0M According to Image Metrics, it has entered into an exchange offer with International Cellular Industries, an OTC BB firm traded as ICLA, to become a pubicly traded company. Source of the new financing for the company was not disclosed. in funding and gone public through a reverse merger. Image Metrics said that ICLA will change its name to Image Metrics, and will change its stock symbol as part of the merger.

Audiolife's software allows artists to sell downloads, ringtones, CDs, and other merchandise from their web sites, blogs, or social networking sites. Van Nuys-based Audiolife , a firm that develops tools and technology to sell merchandise to music fans, announced today that it has raised $1M in a bridge round of funding. The firm said the round came as a single-tranche note, convertible to preferred shares.

Pasadena-based X1 Technologies, a developer of desktop and enterprise search software, is setting its sights on the eDiscovery market, saying this morning that it has created a new offering specifically aimed at the eDiscovery market. The new tool is focused on helping companies who need to produce electronic documents, due to lawsuits. Cost X1 said it has built a solution, based on its X1 enterprise search technology and professional services, called X1 eDiscovery Search Suite. X1 said the new software will be available in late Q1, with early release available for preview to pre-qualified
Brea-based IMS Company , a manufacturer of in-flight portable entertainment players and related products, said Friday that it has acquired Flight Deck Resources, a provider of hardware for flight deck management on airplanes. The new division will focus on the firm's "Electronic Flight Bag" products, which include touchscreen-based hardware for managing flight checklists, data charts, and related hardware and software. Financial terms of the buy were not disclosed. According to IMS, Flight Deck Resources will become a new division, which will be known as IMS Flight Deck.
Los Angeles-based Leads360, which develops leads management software, has launched a new product specifically targeting small companies. Leads360 said it has just launched its Leads360 Express product, which is targeted at managing sales leads for small companies in any industry. The software is free for a single salesperson, and costs $35 a month for up to five salespeople. Leads360 develops leads management software used to handle and manage Internet and other leads; previously, the firm provided products for larger firms. Leads360 is backed by Rustic Canyon Partners.
