Community Developed Material The success of the Code Camps is that they are based on community content. All content that is delivered is original. All presentation content must be provided completely (including code) without any restriction. If you have content you don't want to share or provide to attendees then the Code Camp Weekly updates! Please let me know if know of other items to add, or if you have any feedback on events. There's a promising new weekly morning networking event unlike any I've seen.

Los Angeles-based Clicker Media , the online video guide service funded by Benchmark Capital and Redpoint Ventures, said that it has linked with the University of California, Los Angeles, with a branded version of the service specifically for UCLA students. The site--which is run by Jim Lanzone , the former CEO of Ask.com--said that the partnership will provide both online entertainment and university video content through UCLA's web portal. Clicker said the UCLA on Clicker site will give UCLA students both access to original videos from UCLA, as well as access to other online entertainment from ABC, MTV, PBS, Hulu, YouTube, and other sites and sources.

Hollywood-based, music-related blog and content firm Buzznet has reportedly cut employees, according to a report from Digital Music News. Buzznet operates an online social networking and social media site focused on music and bands, and is backed by Anthem Ventures, Interscope, Redpoint Ventures, and other According to the publication, citing a representative of the firm, Buzznet has eliminated 10 employees, from a total of 89 staff. This publication has not yet confirmed the cuts with the firm.

The startup, which is venture backed by Benchmark Capital and Redpoint Ventures, said its site includes guides to content in Netflix Instant Streaming, Amazon VOD, as well as another 1,200 sources. The firm said that features which will go live on the site today include Facebook Connect integration, user-generated content, ability to search within television episodes for specific content, and machine-learning based programming suggestions. Los Angeles-based Clicker Media , a provider of an online programming guide to Internet television, said today that it is publicly launching its site, Clicker.com today.

Buzznet is venture backed by Anthem Ventures, Interscope, and Redpoint Ventures. Hollywood-based Buzznet, an online social media and networking site focused on music, said Wednesday that it has hired two editors to bolster its music editorial team. According to Buzznet, it has hired former New York Times music reporter Jeff Leeds as its Editor-in-Chief, and former Alternative Press magazine editor Leslie Simon as its Senior Editor.
