Recently, Santa Monica-based Docstoc (www.docstoc.com) launched a new marketplace on its site, for anyone interested in selling professional documents. We thought we'd get the background on the new effort directly from Jason Nazar , CEO and founder of Docstoc, to learn more about the new service.

Let's consider each variable separately since they will behave differently when the economy improves. First, CPC's. Despite the worst advertising recession since at least WWII, both Google and Yahoo's search revenues increased 3-4% in the U.S in Q1 compared to a year ago. Once the economy truly bottoms, I expect search revenues to rebound nicely.

So I was hugely impressed by CPC, an industrial coffee kitchen catering company, when they appeared at LegalTech.
So CPC had just positioned themselves to meet directly with the decision-makers, all at once, in a venue where CPC faced no competition.

That means, either converting that traffic into advertising dollars (CPM, CPC, CPA, etc.) I’ve noticed a renewed trend nowadays in companies pulling out those traffic numbers (and people asking about them) as a indicator of success of their startup. In fact, at Twiistup, I heard at least one audience member ask a panel “what kind of traffic should I be getting” as an indicator of success of their business.
