Instead the city of Los Angeles is now equipping staff with Google’s Cloud based assortment of tools like Gmail and Google Docs.

and Orlando, FL, to go Google . Los Angeles, well known for its layer of delicious smog is finally doing some more work up there. No I’m not talking about cleaning the sky by taking cars of the road, that’s crazy talk.

m getting online, and I’m combing through, and I’m Googling their names, and I’m looking at their bios, and I’m looking at their Facebook pages, and I’m figuring it out.
Doc Dog is telling people to watch us. You know, I mean I don’t look at that as, again if I had products that I could have bundled together I maybe would have done that too and there were, this is the thing, I think it’s been interesting The Harvard Business School Case Study on Heidi Roizen talks about the dinner parties she hosts for tech leaders like her personal friend, Bill Gates, and how people skills helped her build one of the most admired careers in Silicon Valley.

I’ve written about Google’s Data Liberation Front before … They are the nice people dedicated to making sure its as easy to get your data out of the cloud as it is to get it in .
A beefed up export feature for Google Docs now allows you to convert, zip and download multiple files in a couple simple steps. You can zip up to 500MB of files (more Today they announced a new feature worth acknowledging. Just one more reason Google Apps is a great MS Office substitute for most people and organizations…

Today’s topic, and a personal favorite is Google Apps. Here at Startup Army we’re using a combination of Google Apps and Microsoft Office to keep ourselves organized and productive. In case you’re unaware, Google Apps is a suite of applications that enable users to collaborate through e-mail, calendars, documents and customized sites.

I haven’t even used Google Wave yet and I’m already bored of it. Google released 100,000 golden tickets into the wild this week, in the process enabling thousands of poor folks to generally make an ass of themselves begging for, spamming about and even selling the exclusive invites. can understand the fuss to a certain extent, after all it is Google, and real time is HOT HOT HOT. Not so much bored, I just know it’s not for me.
Basically it’s a feeding frenzy of Apple-like proportions clogging up Twitter streams nationwide.

Google just reduced its storage fees by a factor of eight , or as they say “Twice the storage for a quarter of the price.” This space is available across those applications, above the amount Google offers free as standard storage (which can’t be shared across apps – but additional space can be): Picasa Web Albums (including 'All photos posted to Blogger'): 1 GB Gmail: 7+ GB (and increasing) A Great Value “While storage costs have been dropping naturally, we've also been working hard to improve our infrastructure to reduce costs even further.” Announced on Nov 10, 2009, this effects both Gmail and Picasa Web Albums (including Blogger photos).

The firm said the iPhone application, which costs $99 per user per year, allows users to connect with applications such as Microsoft Excel, Google Docs, and Salesforce.com via their phones. San Diego-based MeLLmo , a developer of iPhone applications for viewing business information, announced this morning that it has launched a "pro" version of its service, Roambi Pro. MeLLmo said the new "pro" version also includes such features as group accounts and security features for companies.

Google Apps hosted email, calendar, and contacts for Baroda Ventures
While I like Google Docs for some things, its not quite there for me to fully move over but with Dropbox, I’ve been able to keep much of the cloud access functionalit With the relaunch of Baroda Ventures, I’ve started to slowly but surely move my existance into the cloud….and and I love it but still a little more to go.

The firm said the new DocStore is an "iTunes for documents" and will include documents from such partners as Legal Zoom, Real Deal Docs, Ready Built Forms, Write My Essay, Home Business Forms, Spreadhseet Zone, Small Business Forms, 4Expertise, Podium Notes, and Peak Strategy. The new online store will allow users to pay for documents with a credit card, PayPal, or Google Checkout. Santa Monica-based DocStoc , the online document sharing site run by Jason Nazar, is announcing this afternoon that the firm has launched a new, online store which will allow people to both buy and sell professional documents.
