San Diego-based Eventful announced late last night that it has raised $10M in a Series C funding round, led by Telefonica. According to Eventful, the investment round also included existing investors Draper Fisher Jurvetson and Bay Partners. Eventful, which operate an online web site for promoting and sharing information about events, said it will use the new funding to expand sales and marketing, its mobile channel, and international expansion. San Diego-based event listing service Eventful has launched a new service to allow its users to track concerts. According to Eventful, the new service will let users indicate which performers they like, and receive alerts whenever those artists come to town. Eventful provides an online service for sharing and promoting local events. The firm released a new service today it calls Artist Tracker, which emails alerts to its users about musicians and artists performing in town. The firm is venture backed by Bay Partners, Draper Fisher Jurvetson, and Omidyar Network.
