El Segundo-based iRise , a developer of software used by enterprises to visualize and prototype their IT development projects, announced this morning that it has named Ralph Szygenda to its advisory board. El Segundo-based BridgeCo , a developer of embedded semiconductors and software for the home entertainment networking market, said Thursday at CES that it has launched the next generation of its JukeBlox product. The firm said its new, JukeBlox 2.0 platform integrates streaming music applications such as Pandora, Rhapsody, Napster and LastFM, digital music from the Apple iPod, Sirius satellite radio, and DAB, to various home audio systems.

STAAR develops 3D, parallelized FEM tools for electromagnetic simulation of RF and microwave components and subsystems; the software is used in conjunction with AWR's own high frequency EDA tools.
