He is well known in the Southern California Technology scene for his work producing the Digital Family event series, along with the MOTM (Meeting of the Minds) series. What are you working on now? I've recently co-founded the first political social network FreedomSpeaks and CitySourced.com a real time mobile civic engagement tool. We have regular monthly meetings in Westlake Village, Hollywood, Santa Barbara, & Newport Beach. I'm hoping that Baron and Kurt come up with one that's in Santa Monica / West LA. Kurt Daradics ( Facebook , @KurtyD , FriendFeed , MySpace , LinkedIn , Delicious ) (pronounced dare-a-dix) is a great guy to know.

Wednesday, April 1, 2009 -- bloblive LA - Open Mic Night for Entrepreneurs. The events are streamed live online, attracting additional feedback from viewers around the country. Bloblives are a weekly, city-wide series of "open mic nights for ideas" where entrepreneurs of many stripes share ideas and support each other in a fun and relaxed environment. Anyone can get up to share their ideas about new businesses, existing businesses, non-profit/socially entrepreneurial ventures, etc.

It's unfortunate that this event is going the way it is. I'm hoping to figure out a way to spark a meet-up around SEO / SEM in Santa Monica / West Los Angeles / South Ba I went to a meetup yesterday that was on the topic of Internet Marketing / SEO / SEM. The meeting had a decent case study and some pretty good discussion around the room of different tools that you might consider using.

I've helped organize the Los Angeles CTO Forum for almost 10 years. They are generally the senior most person responsible for custom software development, database design, database administration, web development, etc. In a recent conversation with a fellow CTO, we lamented about the fact that while there's very active software development and web development going on in Southern California and West Los Angeles, yet there didn't seem to be as much of a community around it. As part of doing that, I've had the opportunity to interact with a wide variety of different chief technical officers from different kinds of companies over those years.
