Seems more than a bit irreverent - check out their About and FAQ pages. Its primary focus is Web 2.0 Presenters are responsible for making sure that notes/slides/audio/video of their presentations are published on the web for the benefit of all and those who can’t be present. dorkbot.org donates web space, email lists, etc. Weekly updates! Please let me know if know of other items to add, or if you have any feedback on events. There's a promising new weekly morning networking event unlike any I've seen.

Those bots retrieve a copyof your web page so that they can include relevant terms from that page in their search index. Not all bots are benign however.Some bots go through your website looking for web forms and email addresses to send you spam. Before you rush to implement the things suggested by this article, I should probably mention the following prerequisites. Most of these bots don’t obey robots.txt , that means you can’t even block them applying Web standards ( learn how to block rogue bots ). Their developers are just too fucking lazy to understand such protocols that every respected service on the Web (search engines…) obeys.
