The problem with most of the share badges out there is that they load a Javascript file from an external source which can take several seconds on a bad day. Javascript calls are an easy way for Facebook and StumbleUpon to put their links on your page but most networks also have a way to share through a URL. Your content gets to the share site just as it would with the Javascript, sometimes even faster. home contact RSS lets get you on the web | josh can help with site & wordpress design, development & strategy get help about portfolio subscribe: RSS email twitter categories archives recent search Improving Website and Wordpress Performance with Hard-Coded Share Buttons 1/14/2010

Enter the huge innovation in AJAX (asynchronous Javascript and XML), which let us redraw individual portions of the screen and therefore mimic user behavior on on-premise applications. Enter Google would soon follow with their own phones, it was rumored. But I’m sure he’ll never remember your company when Google buys you for $500 million and he’s still eating Ramen – right?
I know he’s smart but you wouldn’t hire a Javascript developer to do your database design – would you? I recently read a post over on VentureHacks titled, “ Top Ten Reasons Entrepreneurs Hate Lawyers ” written by Scott Walker (who blogs on legal issues for entrepreneurs ). I know that people have an allergy to lawyers out of fear of being screwed.

The disadvantage is that you can’t install a lot of additional tools that use Javascript. Actually, I started with the hosted version and then migrated to an installed version so I could use Google Analytics and some other products.
Then you can install Google Analytics to your website. This I guess let’s file this under sales & marketing advice .

Can you talk about the application and how this is different or better than similar efforts like Google Gears, etc?
William But, our software also supports a large number of other web applications--for example, things like Google Maps, Yahoo News, or even content sites. The difference between Google Gears and this approach, is it's not an API--you don't need to rewrite your web application to make this work. Today's interview is with William Chow , founder of Los Angeles-based Mobophiles (www.mobophiles.com), Mobophiles has developed technology which allows any software-as-a-service application or web site, including enterprise applications like Microsoft SharePoint and Salesforce.com, to work even when a user is not able to connect to the Internet, if a service is down, connections are intermittent, or slow--something potentially strategic to SaaS firms looking to displace desktop applications.
