Sherman Oaks-based Bid4Spots , the online auction for radio advertising time, is branching out into cable television, saying Monday that it has launched a new, cable TV advertising marketplace. The firm auctions allow stations reverse bid to fill advertising orders and unsold airtime, but do not have to release pricing data, a technique which has won it success in radio against giants such as Google, which recently withdrew from the radio market. The firm said it would offer premium, local cable TV airtime for discounted rates through a system similar to the firm's reverse auction for radio time.

Sherman Oaks-based GoTV Networks , which develops original programming for the mobile market, said today that the firm has launched a number of music channels on the T-Mobile G1 handset. GoTV Networks said it has launched a number of music channels on the Google Android-based handset, all of which offer music news, updates, charts, interviews, and more. According to the firm, GoTV Networks is venture backed by Bessemer Venture Partners, Charles River Ventures, and Motorola. The new music channels on the G1 include Hip Hop Official, ES Musica, Rock: On Altitude, True Country
