Google had no clue that they were going to make so much money in sponsored search. They Geni.com beget Yammer. I We’ve proven that through innovation and experimentation we can do significantly more revenue than we’re getting through Google AdSense. What Or publishers can use ad-words where they’re constricted to the Google container This is part of my new series on what makes an entrepreneur successful . I originally posted it on VentureHacks , one of my favorite websites for entrepreneurs.

A great opportunity for more visible networking . I roughly know about MakeItWork, but tell me a bit about where you spend your time day-to-day. A typical day starts with email, Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, and Yammer checks/updates. Then I check and manage our Google Adwords campaign and check our analytics/stats. I’ve recently had a chance to reconnect with Eric David Greenspan ( LinkedIn , Twitter ) He’s the CEO of Make It Work a high quality, personal, high touch technology service provider for homes and small businesses. From TweetDeck to Yammer, WordPress to Twitter, Google Adwords to Yahoo Search, Facebook to LinkedIn, throw in a little AllTop, MyYahoo, Outlook, Powerpoint, Quicken (had to pay some bills)…my head is spinning. I spent my week applying the new skills I obtained from attending conferences, reading and engaging in Twitter activities. I literally have been switching from my Blackberry, to my iPhone, to my PC, back to the iPhone and on and on it goes.

After this was my panel (co-hosted by Christian Gammill who had to leave mid-way to race off to Hawaii to get engaged and by Tony Adam), with Mike Jones (COO of MySpace), David Sacks (founder of Geni and Yammer) and Jamie Montgomery (CEO of tech investment bank Montgomery & Co). The tone of the panel was set by David’s announcement that he was relocating to Silicon Valley (and dragging Geni & Yammer with him). ExpenseBay Wins Showoff
