Evan Pagan, one of my mentors, talks about this as the ultimate area of leverage in a business there’s nothing else you can do that can almost instantly take your business and from the existing amount of visitors, traffic, attention that you have create 2 times, 3 times the amount of results that you get from that.

When you do get time the advisers are often too removed from the details of the company to help. Let’s face it, to help a company you really need to understand the details. But I would argue that you can develop relationships with many advisers, mentors and VCs that will help with introductions for no equity. This is part of my ongoing series Startup Advice . And you can always bring on a senior person as a mentor / coach to help guide you personally to become a better sales leader until you’re ready for somebody more senior on your team. In One of the things that I had done to help me gain access to senior people that I didn’t know was to bring on a senior guy from industry as a mentor. He helped set up Only Hire A+ People Who Punch Above Their Weight Class
