According to Hulu, Comedy Central has decided to rotate the shows off the service, as of 11:59 p.m. Hulu said the shows will continue to be available on TheDailyShow.com and ColbertNation.com . Hulu said it was "unable to secure the rights" to extend the show, after a "series of discussions" with the team at Comedy Central. Los Angeles-based streaming media site Hulu.com said Tuesday afternoon that two of the firm's most popular shows, The Daily Show, and The Colbert Report, are being pulled from the site. PST on Tuesday, March 9th.

Los Angeles-based video site Hulu has launched a new advanced search site, the firm announced today. Los Angeles-based Hulu, which offers TV shows, movies, and clips from the major networks, is adding the ablity to embed Hulu clips on social networking sites such as MySpace.com and Facebook, in a new deal with content syndication service SplashCast. According to SplashCast, Hulu will use SplashCast to distribute its television shows and other content on MySpace.com and Facebook, as a way to reach the 15- to 34- year old audience. Los Angeles-based video site Hulu said Thursday that it will be featuring commercials from this weekend's Super Bowl XLIV on the site, in a special section it is calling the Hulu AdZone. Online video service Hulu has started carrying Bollywood movies, and has signed digital distributor Saavn to show a number of Bollywood films from India. All five titles are currently available on the Hulu site. Tags: hulu video streaming television content taggin The firm said that users of the site can now create custom keywords or category labels, allowing users to group and discover new videos on the site. The firm allows any user to add tags to any video on the site, as well as allows those users to search for other similarly tagged videos.

The latest numbers out of Internet research firm comScore finds that Los Angeles-based Hulu , the online video streaming site, is rising rapidly in traffic, and has just hit 855 million video views, up significantly from the 583 million views it saw in September. Los Angeles-based video streaming firm Hulu told its users today that it has launched two new, experimental projects in its Hulu Labs section. According to Hulu, it has launched a new publishing tool-- Hulu Publisher Tool --which helps reporters, bloggers, website editors, and others to find and embed premium video content from the site and elsewhere. The Walt Disney Company is the latest firm to invest in online video aggregator Hulu , saying this morning that it has agreed to join NBC Universal, New Corporation, and Providence Equity Partners as a joint venture partner in the site. According to Hulu and Walt Disney, it will become an equity owner in Hulu, and also distribute its current and library primetime series and feature films through the site. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. The two said that full length episodes of such series as Lost, Desperate Housewives, Grey's Anatomy, Ugly Betty, and more
