Jason’s crusade–which started with the Keiretsu Forum–now has expanded to include two other local investment pitching groups, the Maverick Angels (run by John Dilts), and The Tech Supper Club, run by the iHollywood folks. The issue is not new to Southern California (in fact, Frank Peters talked with John Dilts in depth about the Maverick Angels’ philosophy in a recent podcast)–but it seems like Jason’s efforts are surfacing lots of the debate on this issue. It looks like the effort by Jason Calacanis to “out” angel groups which charge entrepreneurs to pitch is finally gaining some steam and attention.
