San Diego-based DivX , which develops video encoding and decoding technology, has signed on a European manufacturer of televisions, Arcelik A.S. According to DivX, Arcelik will distribute DivX Plus HD Certified digital TVs in Europe. Financial terms of the win were not disclosed. Arcelik is based in Turkey. READ MORE>>.

San Diego-based Mad Catz Interactive , a developer of videogame accessories, reported last night that its CFO, Stewart Halpern, has resigned from the firm. The company said Halpern is leaving to "pursue other interests." Mad Catz said that Allyson Vanderford, its Controller, has been named Interm CFO.

I have spent a day with Apple iTunes 10 new feature called Ping , a social network. The day of the announcement and before it was available for download there was a lot of speculation about what experience it might offer to music fans. It seems to be only a slight improvement on the iTunes Music Store review and ratings system. killer.

Santa Monica-based CODA Automotive , the electric vehicle startup, said Thursday that it intends to distribute its CODA Sedan to customers in Hawaii in Q3 of 2011.
