Santa Monica-based Jacked , a developer of second-screen, companion applications for TV broadcasts, has been acquired by Roundbox , a New Jersey-based developer of mobile broadcast software. Jacked developed software which provided real time information--statistics, data, web content, and other information--synchronized with sports and other broadcasts. Financial terms of the buy were not disclosed. Bryan Biniak, CEO and founder of Jacked, will has joined the advisory board of Roundbox.

The second event late February '10 was "Going Goo Goo over Google Analytics" and was held at Mahalo's office in Santa Monica. The very informative panel of three plus moderator were on for about an hour followed by about a half hour of Q&A. Santa Monica-based SharesPost , which operates a secondary marketplace for privately held company shares, is expanding the amount of third party research on its market. According to the firm, it has added Blueshift Research and Liquid Scenarios as providers of private company research and data to its subscribers. SharesPost's site features in-depth analysis of privately held firms such as Facebook, Twitter, Tesla Motors, eHarmony, and other popular privately held firms.
Santa Monica-based Jacked, a provider of second screen information for sports broadcasts, said Monday that the firm has inked a deal with the NBA. Jacked provides sports information, including scores, statistics for players, chat, blogs, play-by-play, merchandise, and more via the web, synchronized real-time with broadcast sports games. According to Jacked, it will provide an interactive, second screen companion to a number of NBA teams. The deal calls for local and regional television broadcasters to integrate its SportsTop product into their web sites.
