I used to live in Los Angeles, so we'll experiment by clicking on Los Angeles. It’s your job to layoff people if you need to or fire people if you need to
At one time we had 25% market share on the Mac, which is of course a small market but we were a relatively fish in that market and we were selling licenses to universities, site licenses. Electronics Arts is shutting down Los Angeles-based Pandemic Studios , according to an internal note leaked to gaming news site Kotaku. According to the note, Electronic Arts has laid off around 200 employees, and transitioned the rest to Electronic Arts' Los Angeles office. San Diego- and Los Angeles-based online video site Veoh is reportedly in the midst of a "major restructuring," according to a report from VentureBeat . Quoting a "source close to the company" VentureBeat said that the layoffs would be "drastic." Tags: veoh layoff jobs video conten An email to Dmitry Shapiro, CEO of Veoh, this morning, asking for comments on the rumor was not returned. Veoh laid off 20 percent of its employees in November.

Los Angeles- and San Diego-based Veoh (www.veoh.com), an online video sharing site, has laid off 20 people, or roughly 18-20 percent of the firm's employees. The layoffs occurred yesterday, when employees were notified of the move. The firm continues to have operations in Los Angeles and San Diego. A spokesperson for Veoh told socalTECH that the changes affected every group in the firm, and was because the firm wanted to make smart choices early on in the game given a possible internet advertising slowdown.

Los Angeles-based Uber, the online social networking web site run by former Friendster CEO Scott Sassa, has shut down. According to the firm's web site, as of September 29, the firm's investors have decided to stop supporting the site, and the company has closed its doors. Uber developed software used to upload, organize, and share content through a free web site; the site also provided photo galleries, slide shows, videos, Uber blamed the crisis in the economy for the shutdown. Despite the thousands of layoffs and the likelihood of the state being broke , the bright side of everything is that it just means there’s a lot more people bored and online ready to try your startup. Here are the major revelations in the book: Chris DeWolfe was looking for a way to utilize his spam emailing list and ended up with the social network idea, Tom Anderson is actually a much older pervy porn site operator with yellow fever, DeWolfe also turned down buying Facebook twice for bargain prices in 2004. The morning’s fresh and it’s a start of a great week!
