Siamak: I did, and it was all because of Yahoo, even to this day, Yahoo is kind of screwing people over with their stock, right. When we got a little bit more money, it was print ads, like in "Entrepreneur", and back them, I used to love the magazine "Business 2.0", and so, some ads there. And she currently hosts shows on Yahoo! Shira Lazar currently hosts Yahoo!’s And then I actually just launched a new Yahoo! so it's a little convergence of TV content on the web, on Yahoo! But while in the time that they hired me for the second time, there was an online magazine, music magazine called Planet Verge. What I admire about Shira Lazar is that she's too much of a go-getter to wait for the perfect TV gig to come to her. I've watched her build her reputation and fan-base using new media tools like Qik, Wordpress and Twitter.

Intent.com was co-founded by former Yahoo exec Sal Taylor Kydd. Santa Monica-based Intent.com said Thursday that it has launched a new web site focused on wellness and social networking. The site--which was co-founded by Deepak Chopra's daughter, Mallika Chopra--said it is looking to create a community of like-minded members, blogs from wellness experts, and other curated online content.

Santa Monica-based video games developer Activision has tapped former Yahoo! Rosensweig was most recently COO of Yahoo from 2002 to 2006. Rosensweig has also served at Ziff Davis, in a variety of roles, including President and CEO of ZDNet, and Vice-President and Publisher of PC Magazine. COO Dan Rosensweig as CEO of the firms's RedOctane business unit--the unit which is in charge of its Guitar Hero franchise. According to Activision, Rosensweig will oversee game development, hardware manufacturing, supply chain, logistics, and marketing for RedOctane.

The firm said that it has added Darshan Kantak, Chief Product Architect for Yahoo's Marketing Products Division; Larry Goodman, President of White Mountain Media; Jonah Schnel of the Ezralow Company; and Chris Muller, Director of Business Development of Synthasite, to its advisory group. Perfect Market is looking to apply search engine marketing and search engine optimization techniques to what has traditionally been considered "archive" content--for example, old advice articles from newspapers and magazines. Pasadena-based Perfect Market, the Idealab-backed startup which is looking to help publishers monetize their underutilized and archive content, said Wednesday that it has created a new advisory board.

According to the firms, the new, stand-alone site will also be featured throughout the MSN network, and is designed to have the look and feel of a magazine.
