I wouldn’t bet against MySpace . I know many of their founders and early employees, and one of the co-founders of Intermix (the parent company of MySpace) is an investor. MySpace has lost the battle as the “place for friends”. The following are my 7 Ways on How to Save MySpace
They attract over 70 million people a month (just in the US), and by most accounts are still one of the 10 most popular sites in the world. They also have a new management team, that’s headed up in part by Michael Jones (COO), the most all around talented internet executive I know.

Are you at Mahalo’s offices?
Interviewee: Yes, we’re in Mahalo’s offices today. I know that Mahalo lends – not lends – they rent office space to entrepreneurs like you. They're on, at the time, MySpace or YouTube and now Facebook. You’re When my friend Wil Schroter builds web sites, he's more concerned with attracting revenue than eyeballs. Founder and CEO of Mahalo , Jason Calacanis is the original community CEO, or as we like to say OGSocial. MySpace Co-Founder Tom Anderson is probably the most well known social founder behind a site. His status at MySpace is so legendary it has just about made him a household name.
It’s interesting (to me at least) the vast audiences that tech founders are able to assemble. Through their own products and others, they manage to build massive communities that in many cases, hang on their every word tweet.

Mahalo is sold for 50-70 million, a respectable exit although much lower than Jason’s original goal of a 30 gazillion dollar sale.
Fox Interactive and Myspace move into their new office in Playa Vista, taking them further to the outskirts of LA and relevancy in the space.
Time to gaze into our crystal iPhone and see what 2009 holds in store for Los Angeles.
Francisco Dao will be kicked out of at least 1 event for being too loud and or dressing inappropriately.
