And, so, you know, going to Twiistup, I even met a site the first time I went called “Fafarazzi” and at that time, they had no video content, they were kind of like celebrity fantasy football. Mahalo Daily, before they hired you, they went through a big…they put on a big to-do to hire the previous co-host. How did you get on Mahalo Daily? What I admire about Shira Lazar is that she's too much of a go-getter to wait for the perfect TV gig to come to her. Twiistup – Twiistup is kind of like LA’s answer to the TechCrunch50. LA Hadoop Meetup – My good friend Mark Jeffrey’s company, Mahalo , typically hosts these events. My friend Mark Long recently asked me about networking in Los Angeles. Mark is a CTO, see, and his company, PortBlue , was recently acquired (congrats, Mark!).

This part of Twiistup was entirely new, previously the showoffs only had the ability to connect with the attendees at their booths. Each Hanging out in the back lounge, I ran into the Co-founder of the Twiistup 5 fan favorite, Michael Broukhim, from Totspot. Instead of a one evening mixer that highlighted the showoffs and gave people a chance to mingle and get to know the companies, it was expanded to a two day conference with panels, and plenty of time for mingling.
