Los Angeles-based Mogreet , the mobile marketing and greeting card firm run by James Citron , said today that it has inked a partnership with greeting cards firm American Greetings , via the card firm's online division, AG Interactive. According to the two, AmericanGreetings.com will offer MMS greeting cards using Mogreet's mobile video marketing platform. Financial impact of the deal was not disclosed. The two firms said that the greetings will include premium, American Greeting content, linked with full motion video, sound, and music.

Los Angeles-based Mogreet , the mobile video marketing firm run by James Citron, said earlier this week that it has powered a mobile marketing campaign for Hotel Casa del Mar in Santa Monica. The firm--which recently expanded its offerings from video greeting cards to also include mobile video marketing services--did not disclose the financial impact of the deal. Mogreet is venture backed by Ascend Venture Group, Black Diamond Ventures, DFJ Frontier and Spyglass Ventures. This morning, Los Angeles-based Mogreet (www.mogreet.com) announced it had raised a Series B funding round for the firm's mobile greeting services. We caught up with James to hear more about the company, how he managed to get funding even in this economy, and his view on the mobile market.

Los Angeles-based wireless software publisher Mobile-XL reported Thursday that it is partnering with Venice-based mobile video messaging firm Mogreet . Mogreet operates a mobile greeting card service which sends short video snippets to mobile phones. Mobile-XL noted that the two companies plan to unveil the collaboration in a few select markets later this year. According to Mobile-XL, both companies have committed resources toward developing a mobile messaging platform. Mobile-XL develops mobile browser software and information services.
