Los Angeles-based MarketShare Partners , a private equity-backed provider of marketing analytics, said this morning that it has tapped a former marketing exec from Procter & Gamble as an advisor. MarketShare said that Stengel is best known for "reinvigorating P&G's marketing culture." MarketShare Partners gained an undisclosed, investment round from Elevation According to the firm, Jim Stengel, curently President of his own think tank and consultancy, has joined its board of advisors. Stengel was formerly Global Marketing Officer at P&G.

Los Angeles-based MarketShare Partners , a provider of marketing analytics software said Wednesday afternoon that it has scored an investment round from Elevation Partners. According to MarketShare Partners, Elevation made a minority equity investment in the firm. MarketShare's software is used by companies such as Charles Schwab, Electronic Arts, and Mercedes-Benz, Financial terms of the funding were not disclosed. Elevation's Ted Meisel will join MarketShare's board along with the funding; Meisel is the former CEO of Overture Services.
