And, so, you know, going to Twiistup, I even met a site the first time I went called “Fafarazzi” and at that time, they had no video content, they were kind of like celebrity fantasy football. What I want to know is, what about the audience that you have, the fan base that’s now retwitting out that you're here on Mixergy, the fan base that watches you when you use Quick or some new technology to do video online. What I admire about Shira Lazar is that she's too much of a go-getter to wait for the perfect TV gig to come to her. I've watched her build her reputation and fan-base using

Most of the technology community in Los Angeles is familiar with the Twiistup events, which mixes startups, entrepreneurs, investors, and others in what has been a fashionable and casual environment — last time, in a private hangar in Santa Monica in “Blade Runner” style decor. Twiistup is selecting 10 companies who present their firm at the event, which is transitioning into a two-day event at the Universal Hilton in Universal City.  Francisco Dao, the new producer of the event, tells me that applications are still open to apply for the next event, and that they’re looking for interesting and innovative startups to showcase at the event.

They really need to take a look at how Twiistup , Mixergy and others are doing to both promote and help make their events better for attendees. A while ago I posted about Secret for Networking at Events - Prenetworking where I recommended that people should look at who's attending the event prior to going to the event in order to make their networking more effective. I've received a lot of positive feedback on the post.
