Last week, one of those never-ending topics of discussion came up at Twiistup on a panel about whether or not Southern California was a good place to put your startup. On one side, you had Mark Suster of GRP Partners and Mike Jones of MySpace who were saying “yes”, and on the other side, you had Jamie Montgomery of Montgomery and Co. , It was, at least for me, somewhat of a downer way and David Sacks of Geni/Yammer , who were saying “maybe/no”. Twiistup 6 has come to an end. Out is the “cocktail only” Twiistup and in is the new format of a conference that should take its rightful place on the national technology calendar. I believe that Twiistup is now a platform from which to grow and highlight what is uniquely LA. We Much of this was highlighted at Twiistup. ExpenseBay Wins Showoff
It proved to be a great transitional year.

Macadaan is well known in the Los Angeles technology community for creating and running Twiistup, the popular Los Angeles technology networking and startup showcase event. Macadaan's departure closely follows the departure of Tsavo founder and CEO Michael Jones, who recently became COO of MySpace.
