There's a giant need in the supply side to be able to go out to a web site, put your corporate profile down, and have a very efficient system for matching both the demand and supply side, matching the intern and the job at a local and geographic level. We're brought experts from the field--Colleen Sabatino is our Chief Content Officer, and is one of the more respected career center executives in America, and Travlin McCormick came from Slingshot Labs to be our CTO, and is used to speed and has taken various types of businesses and fed them to MySpace--but I've never considered the industry

But, we were able to into a huge event that we partnered with Lifetime and MySpace on, and we got 50,000 girls to try out in less than a week, with hundreds of thousands of people online as voters and fans, and we had millions of impressions surrounding the event. There was some beautiful web sites that were built, but I know from my time as a talent agent, these guys were spending a lot of time and money on content, but not spending a lot of time on how to monetize it. Santa Monica-based Movieclips.com , an online site which allows users to search for scenes from major movies, and embed them on Facebook, MySpace, and other web sites, said today that it has opened up its service to users worldwide. The firm also said it has released an API to allow developers to access the firm's clips and related metadata. The startup says it has around 12,000 movie clips from major Hollywood studios on its site.

But it was not until the last couple years that I updated my skills and capabilities in web development. They have a custom implementation of CPanel, so it is really easy to add a domain, install and upgrade dozens of popular free and open source web apps like Wordpress or Drupal with just a couple of clicks with Fantastico. It includes the LAMP stack ( Linux OS , Apache web server , MySQL database , and PHP ) which any worthwhile web hosting is going to provide, I first started messing around with HTML in DreamWeaver and Claris Home Page around 1999 to put up my own music website.

Andrew Thompson quit high school and built a web site that helped MySpace users decorate their pages. He promoted it by being a "MySpace whore," who amassed as many MySpace friends as he could and promoted his site to them, and by getting ranked high in Google search results. Then one evening he added some Yahoo ads to his site and BAM, everything change...

It’s cold and wet in Paris, France, but the participants at Le Web could care less. Some of the big announcements from day one came from Twitter and MySpace. Mike Jones, COO of MySpace, took the stage and had some news to share as well. MySpace is opening up their massive data feed, something they have never done Over 2,500 people were in attendance for day one of the conference and all were nice and dry, and well fed. Loic and Geraldine Le Meur have done an excellent job planning for this two-day event.

Flektor, the online web slideshow and photo and video sharing site owned by Fox Interactive Media, appears to have completely disappeared as of this morning. The service's web site now goes directly to the MySpace home page. Los Angeles-based social networking site MySpace , in a bid to connect with the "real-time" web, said early this morning at the LeWeb conference that it has launched a new, real-time API. According to MySpace COO Mike Jones, the firm is enhancing its MySpace Developer Platform to allow partners to access the firm's real-time data, including status updates, music, video, and photos. Los Angeles-based MySpace is launching a promotion centered around the upcoming NCAA March Madness basketball tournament Monday, with a promotion and $10,000 prize, the firm revealed this morning. According to MySpace, it will be giving away $10,000 to the winner of the firm's second annual MySpace Bracket Challenge , which is being sponsored by vitaminwater. Interestingly The bracket game will allow users to predict the winners of all of the NCAA Men's Division I Basketball Tournament games, starting with Game 1 on Thursday, March 19th, and also will feature insights from basketball players, tournament news from FOXSports.com, mobile alerts, rankings, and more.
