Santa Barbara-based RingRevenue , the provider of pay-per-call technology headed by Jason Spievak, apparently is powering a trial by Google in its Google Affiliate Network. In news leaked out by Affiliate New Review, apparently Google is using RingRevenue on a trial of paying commissions for phone-based traffic. READ MORE>>.

The last direct flight from Santa Barbara to Silicon Valley, on a route run by SkyWest Airlines, is being discontinued, according to reports. SkyWest Airlines has informed Santa Barbara Airport officials that it plans to discontinue direct flights to San Jose in June, due to lack of demand.

Amgen, which is headquartered in Thousand Oaks, is the perfect kind of company to spawn an entire industry worth of biotechnology firms in the region. However, to date, there have been very, very few companies spun out or started by ex-employees of the company. It should be interesting to see how the efforts turn out. All Rights Reserved

Santa Barbara-based Make It Work , the in-home neighborhood computer support firm run by Eric David Greenspan, is expanding its media empire with a new, daily technology video effort. According to Greenspan, the firm has tied with local Santa Barbara community news site Noozhawk, to publish daily videos on consumer technology.
