Pasadena-based OpenX is in a major deal with software giant Microsoft , saying today that the two are in a deal to cross-market and promote products to their publishers. OpenX said it it will become a preferred partner to publisher for enterprise ad serving, and will promote Microsoft's Content Ads monetization products, as part of a multi-year agreement. Financial details of the advertising technology OpenX said that publishers usings its OpenX Market and OpenX Ad Server will be able to use Microsoft's Content Ads, and that Microsoft will refer potential customers to OpenX.

Pasadena-based OpenX Technologies , a provider of ad serving software for web publishers, announced this morning that the firm has launched a new, advertising marketplace it is calling OpenX Market. According to OpenX, the marketplace will integrate with its software, and allow publishers to maximize their revenues. OpenX Technologies is venture backed The new marketplace uses a real-time auction for impressions on web sites, comparing the ad rates for advertising through its marketplace with a publisher's own inventory, and running the one which will provide more revenue.

Pasadena-based OpenX Technologies , which develops ad serving software used by online publishers, is reporting this morning that it has added more than 8,000 publishers since it launched its product in October of 2008. The software developed by OpenX is used by online publishers to serve up Internet advertising. According to OpenX, the new customers Financial impact of the customer wins was not disclosed; the software is available as open source, and the firm said it makes money through offering professional services to its publishers, providing premium support packages, hosted offerings, and OpenX market, a new marketplace the firm is working on that allows publishers to sell their advertising space.

Pasadena-based OpenX Technologies , a developer of ad serving software for web publishers, said this morning that it has raised $10M in a Series C funding round. The firm said the new funding will go to expand its advertising technology, products, and services. OpenX's software and services are used by online publishers to serve up web ads; the firm also recently launched its own ad marketplace. According to the firm, the new round was led by DAG Ventures, and also included prior investors Accel Partners, Index Ventures, Mangrove Capital, First Round Capital, and Jonathan Miller.
