San Diego-based DivX announced today that it has released a new, updated version of its video player software for the Windows platform. According to DivX, its DivX Plus Software, which is available for free, has been "completely redesigned," and now supports DivX Plus HD video, easier transfer of videos to DivX Certified devices, an enhanced Codec pack for Windows Media Player, HD support in web browsers, as well as a new video converter application supporting 1080p HD content. Digital Map Products said it will make its web platform available to Landiscor, as part of a new product called LanDiscover, a product for accessing imagery and real estate data. Irvine-based Digital Map Products said Friday that the firm has inked a channel partnership with Landiscor Aerial Information, a provider of aerial information for the real estate industry. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

The company said the funding will go to hire key personal, further develop its technology platform, and for strategic partnerships. Audiolife's software allows artists to sell downloads, ringtones, CDs, and other merchandise from their web sites, blogs, or social networking sites. Van Nuys-based Audiolife , a firm that develops tools and technology to sell merchandise to music fans, announced today that it has raised $1M in a bridge round of funding. The firm said the round came as a single-tranche note, convertible to preferred shares.

Los Angeles-based The Rubicon Project , which operates a service to optimize the selection of ads on web sites, said today that it has debuted a new technology platform is it calling REVV for Publishers. The firm said that the REVV product--targeted at premium Web publishers--now gives publishers control of non-guaranteed inventory, ability to manage sales rights by geography and other parameters, as well as continuing to optimize network ads, among other new features.
