Frank Addante, Nicole Jordan, and the rest at Rubicon Project : file this little tidbit from Valleywag under “any press is good press”. Valleywag took its trademark swipe at Frank’s recent tour of Rubicon’s offices (yes, the original set for “24″):
The office is built on the set of 24, which is a great idea if you value panic, screaming and torture in your place of work…Remember the room in 24 where they always torture terrorists? Addante thought it would be cool to hold company meetings there, and call them “boiler

In this program, we learned public relations from Nicole Jordan , Director, PR & Communications at the Rubicon Project . If you know the reporter you’re looking for, you call them, you catch them live, and say something like, “Hi, I’m calling from the Rubicon Project. wanted to talk to you about the Rubicon Project and the success we’ve had for Ganet, and USA Today….” How well are you using public relations to promote your business?

We had thousands of visitors hit our website in anticipation of our beta and received tons of calls from potential partners, press and investors. Things have been a little crazy (good crazy) since last Monday’s funding announcement. I wasn’t prepared for all the activity that followed. I still can’t believe the overwhelming response!

And today, we at the the Rubicon Project announced that we have raised $21 million in total financing (see press announcement). What a way to start off 2008! First, we are honored with a number of awards (more on this later)... We are very excited, as this is a huge vote of a confidence for the company from investors.
