The DEMO conference announced the lineup of 65 companies that will share their products and value propositions to the technology community at DEMO Spring 2010 on March 21-23 in Palm Desert, California.
They will feature new products and prototypes from industries like Social Media, Mobile, Enterprise, Consumer Technologies and Cloud.

The firm said its product allows companies to build software applications that run both through a browser and through native desktop applications. Thousand Oaks-based Nexsan , a developer of data storage products, said this week that it has released an upgraded deduplication product. product offers LAN-based deduplication, and is based on FalconStor's File-Interface Deduplication System (FDS). The firm said the upgraded product adds redundancy and automatic backup application failover, among other updates.

Thousand Oaks-based storage equipment provider Nexsan announced today that the firm has shipped its first iSCSI product, a new product targeted and small and medium sized companies. According to Nexsan, its new iSeries products provides up to 1 petabyte of storage, virtualized storage, and support for SAS and/or SATA disk drives. Thousand Oaks-based Casdex, a small provider of digital archiving services, has scored a contract with Baja Fresh. Casdex, which launched its products in February, said it has signed a five-year contract with Baja Fresh to digitize all human resources records and financial records for Baja Fresh's more than 300 locations. Thousand Oaks-based Teledyne Technologies said Thursday that it has acquired Cormon Limited and Cormon Technology Limited, a developer of subsea and surface sand and corrosion sensor systems used in oil and gas production. Cormon's products are used in oil and gas production processes for hydrocarbon production monitoring. Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. Cormon will be renamed Teledyne Cormon Limited.

Thousand Oaks-based Xirrus , a developer of Wi-Fi arrays, said today that it has deployed its products at the Illawara Grammar School located on the South Coast of New South Wales, Australia. Financial impact of the sale was not disclosed. The firm's arrays, which combine multiple Wi-Fi access points into a single piece of hardware, were used in lieu of hundreds of standard access points.

Thousand Oaks-based Nexsan, a developer of storage hardware products, has appointed a new Chief Commercial Officer, the firm disclosed Monday. Nexsan said that Michael McGuire has joined the firm, reporting to CEO Philip Black, and will be in charge of worldwide sales, marketing, and business development. McGuire joins the firm from Sun Microsystems, where he was Vice President, Americas Storage Sales.
