Los Angeles-based Rubicon Project , the online ad optimization firm, said today that its analysis finds that online spending in Q4 of 2009 was up, resulting in an increase in CPMs by 34%. Rubicon said it expects 2010 to be a "strong year" for digital advertising. The first few weeks of starting my newest company (Startup 6.0: the Rubicon Project) have reminded me of how critical it is to have the right team. I have been absolutely amazed by what an A++ team can produce in short periods of time. According to Rubicon, the new Rubicon OnDemand product will help advertising buyers precisely target audiences across its inventory. I can't say much about The Lobby other than it is a get together of industry thought leaders to talk about the future of the Internet. Los Angeles-based Rubicon Project , which provides Internet advertising optimization services to publishers, announced today that it has raised $9M more. Rubicon said the new funding will go towards strategic acquisitoins and international expansion. Tags: rubicon project venture capita The Series C funding was led by the GE/NBCU Peakcock Equity Fund, and also included Clearstone Venture partners and Mayfield Fund. The new funding brings the company's total raised to $42M.

Los Angeles-based Rubicon Project , which operates an online advertising optimization service, is announcing this morning that the firm has raised $13M more in a combination of equity and debt. Rubicon said that the Series B follow-on funding will go twards strategic acquisitions, research and development, international expansion, and infrastructure. Los Angeles-based Rubicon Project announced today that the firm has expanded into the UK, and hired on Jay Stevens as Vice President and General Manager, International. Rubicon, which provides online advertising optimization for web publishers, said that Stevens joins form MySpace, where he was SVP of Audience and also VP of MySpace's European operations. As part of the hire, Rubicon said it has opened Stevens has also previously served at Silverpop. Rubicon is venture backed by Clearstone Venture Partners, Mayfield Fund, and IDG Ventures.
