3rd Floor Woodland Hills, CA 91367 Cost: Varies Review: I attended their joint evening networking event with Pink Slip Mixers on 12/8 which was attended by about two dozen people, and included light food and soft drinks. Unfortunately, the skill set that the Startups were looking for didn't match that of attendees (mostly managers/executives, business development, sales, markeing, etc. - Weekly updates! Please let me know if know of other items to add, or if you have any feedback on events. Sorry this didn't make it out on Monday as usual - I've been to so many events

Woodland Hills-based FatTail , a developer of software for managing online advertising for web publishers, announced today that it has launched a new, self-serve display ad selling system called PageGage Direct. The firm's prior products were used by major online publishers and their sales teams to quote and book more traditional, direct ads. A Woodland Hills-based liquidation firm is behind the closure of Circuit City's 567 stores, and will lead a group of firms who are operating "goiong out of business" sales at the retailer. Woodland Hills-based Great American Group is part of a joint venture that also includes SB Capital Group, LLC, Tiger Capital Group, LLC, and Hudson Capital Partners, LLC to operate the going-out-of-business sales at Circuit City's stores. Circuit City said Friday that it would close all of its stores across the country, and started liquidation sales this weekend.

Woodland Hills-based ReachLocal announced Wednesday that the firm has expanded into Canada, and opened up a new sales office in Toronto for its online marketing services. The venture-backed firm, which helps small and medium sized businesses place Internet advertising, said that its first Canadian location will cater to local businesses in the Greater Toronto area. FatTail develops software used to manage the sales of advertising on major publisher web sites, including managing RFPs and ad inventory.
