Los Angeles-based Fandango , which operates an online movie ticketing service, announced today that it has rolled out a mobile phone ticketing option. The firm said the new offering will be available in eight markets, starting in New York, New Jersey, Houston, Dallas/Plano, San Diego, Bakersfield, Sonoma County, and Hawaii, at selected theaters run by Reading Cinemas. The firm, which is a unit of Comcast Interactive, said its mobile ticket program allows users to use their mobile phones to get into movies. San Diego-based FLO TV , the mobile television arm of Qualcomm, said today that it has inked a deal with Turner Broadcasting to add CNN Mobile to the service. San Diego-based cloud storage provider Nirvanix has added a new customer of the firm's storage service, Nasuni , a Massachusetts startup providing virtual file server software. Nirvanix is a provider of a cloud storage service targeted at enterprises and web application developers; Nasuni develops a virtual network attached storage (NAS) file server that runs on VMware. Tapestry Solutions, a San Diego-based provider of services and software for tracking equipment and spare parts for the U.S. Boeing said that the acquisition will accelerate the growth of the company's service and support business. Tapestry Solutions has 350 employees, with the majority located in San Diego, and approximately 150 deployed worldwide, including in Ira Department of Defense, has been acquired by The Boeing Company, Boeing said late last week. San Diego-based American Internet Services, a Internet data center co-location provider, said Tuesday that the firm has been acquired by an investor group lead by private equity firm Seaport Capital. Complex Drive has 20,000 square feet within three data centers in the San Diego Area. Both firms provide colocation and other data center services.
