The SoCal Tech Group is dedicated to empowering the Southern California technical entrepreneur.
UCLA, USC, UCSD, UCI, UCR, Cal Poly, Cal Tech are just a few of the esteemed universities in the area. How is the SoCal Tech Group different?
We do this by helping folks network and learn from each other, both offline and online. Going beyond the current entrepreneurial base, STG provides outreach to both industry and local universities, with the goal of educating anyone with an interest in entrepreneurship and technology.

The Startonomics conference at UCLA Anderson business school, hosted by DealMaker Media, was a great event for the talks as well as the networking. Who are some of your go to people in Los Angeles? In L.A., because I would like KlickFu to remain primarily a SoCal company and success story! For consulting work, I have done several projects with Lou Sokolovskiy of Genero Capital , a boutique private equity firm. Visible networking is turning into a really great opportunity to get to know people better, get to meet new people, and have some interesting conversations.

Here’s a big thank you to Dealmaker for bringing the event to UCLA (no doubt our constant prodding helped move things along). If you are planning on a event that helps educate the SoCal startup community, please contact us for marketing opportunities.
February saw two big events for the Group, the Startonomics conference and the 8 by 8 dinner . The 8 by 8 dinner sold out quickly as usual, and featured a really diverse set of smart folks: venture capital, CMOs, startup founders, social media execs, and the mandatory student.
