With all the intertwining between both clubs, combined social circles, trading of tech employees, partnerships, conference shenanigans, and occasional grab-ass, there is quite a bit of cross over. Meanwhile, on the other side of the kitchen, the lovely and whip-smart Maya Baratz and Eric Eldon chatted about blogging and the latest social gaming coverage, as Drew and MG Siegler showed off their newest iPhone apps.  Anyone There is a saying about three different magnificent cities I have lived in twice. “If If you are smart, you move to San Francisco.

I can't find them listed on any kind of social site. They really need to take a look at how Twiistup , Mixergy and others are doing to both promote and help make their events better for attendees. A while ago I posted about Secret for Networking at Events - Prenetworking where I recommended that people should look at who's attending the event prior to going to the event in order to make their networking more effective. I've received a lot of positive feedback on the post.
In his post, he mentions the following events / event organizers, and you should visit his post for a bit more on each of them. Mark mentioned Twiistup and VentureNet , but generally the room felt that it was hit and miss with all events. And when you think about the return on your time, it becomes even more discouraging. I'm not saying that I'm giving up completely on in-person events, but I think visible networking will provide a more effective use of time. Dealmaker Media – My first DealMaker Media event was Startonomics (a fantastic event). Social Media Club, LA – SMC events have a nice mix of people ranging from entrepreneurs and marketers to developers and community managers.
