Twiistup 007 – Casino Royale takes place in just two weeks. This time around the conference will run for one and half days, starting in the evening at UCLA on Wednesday, January 27th and will continue at the Skirball Cultural Center on Thursday, January 28th for a full day with the mixer ending the evening.

Alright start-ups if you were hesitant for some reason about applying for Twiistup this should give you that extra umph! Twiistup Just announced that it has added a demo night for all showoff applicants. Twiistup has partnered with The MEMES Center at UCLA Anderson and has added a Wildcard Demo night. That's right just apply and you get to showoff!
The evening before Twiistup any showoff applicant that is also attending Twiistup will be able to demo at UCLA on the January 27th and the winner of that night will get a chance to showoff on the main stage the next

In case you missed it, the organizers of the upcoming Twiistup technology showcase and conference have launched a new way to get your company to present at the event (and also, a good way for them to attract more attendees) — they just announced a “Wildcard Demo” where attendees can vote via text messaging for who they want to present on-stage.
Any STARTUP attending Twiistup on a regular ticket can sign up for stage time at Wildcard Night January 27th 6:00-9:00 at UCLA. Francisco Dao writes:

This was evident at the Twiistup pre-event company pitch last week at UCLA. Francisco Francisco Dao came up with the idea of letting 10 companies that weren’t selected for Twiistup to do a presentation the night before to a group of people and let the audience pick one company to win the final slot at Twiistup. I Also, asking is not appropriate at a marquee conferences like TechCrunch50, DEMO, Twiistup and the like.
Most people suck at presenting to big groups. It’s It’s a shame because the ability to nail these presentations at key conferences
